Wheaton Chess Academy

The Wheaton Chess Academy (W.C.A.) meets during the week to provide chess instruction, game analysis, and practice matches to K-8th grade students in the Wheaton area. The program is designed to challenge both beginning and advanced players alike.  The academy is run by Jeff DiOrio, the owner of Elite Chess and the coach the Naperville North High School Chess Team.

The WCA accepts new members anytime throughout the fall and will prorate the academy fee based on when students join.

Details:

• 7 Monday night classes from 6:30 - 8:00 pm
• Location: Edison Middle School - 1125 S Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60189
• Class Dates: 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6
• Each player will receive a Wheaton Chess Academy T-shirt
• Jeff will accompany & coach the WCA students at the Naperville Scholastic Open on 10/8 (Attendance optional)
• The 7 week chess academy costs $145 (tournament entry fee not included)
