New G$ Cash Prizes and $200 to Grand Champion

Tournament will be held at “the Glenwood Chess Center @1 South Rebecca Street, Glenwood Il. 60425.

Open to USCF Players in 2 sections: U1650 & Open (Limited to a Maximum Capacity of 50 players) USCF Membership is required. Memberships are available at site for an additional $5.00 processing fee or at www.USChess.org. Players under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. TD reserves the right to modify sections and tournament format based on # of entrants in a section. TDS also reserves the right to modify pairings in the event of a website program or crash beyond our control.

EF: 25.00 All players; $35.00 on Tournament Day.  

Time Limits: 4SS, G 40/ d5., 3SS, G 45/d5, if less than 20 players.   

RDS: 1st at 9:00 am, then TBA (Pairings will be as soon as possible after a round ends)

Lunch Break: 12:30 to 1:30 or TBA.

Please bring chess clocks.

Prizes: U1650: $50.00 b/6 and ribbon to 1st-.($25.00 to 1st G)  Ribbons to 2nd -4th place. Open: $60.00 b/6 and ribbon to 1st-. ($30.00 to 1st G) Ribbons to 2nd-4th place.  Division Winners will vie for the “Monster” Grand Champion Trophy & $200.00 b/30 entries. ($50.00 to Grand Champion G)

Note: $25.00 to top U1300 b/5 U1300 players. In this tournament, U1300 players are also eligible for all other prizes as well!

Note: You will now only play players in your division for money or prizes- until the Grand Championship Match!

Special “Bounty Hunter Prizes”: 1. Prize, 2. Award, 3. $5.00, 4. $10.00

Farthest Distance Travelled: An Appreciation Prize will be Awarded (if 50 miles or more)

Special Bonus: If there are 40 or more players, free lunches will be provided!

Tie Breaks: Standard Tie Break System for Non- Monetary Prizes.

Tournament Day Registration and Payments: 8-8:45am. Payments can be made by Cash or Check.

Concessions: Snacks and Refreshments will be available on site. Bottled Water and Donuts are Complimentary.

Tournament results are scheduled to be published in the Daily Southtown, Post Tribune and Tinley Park News Websites and or Newspapers.
