Description
Elementary - High School Chess Boot Camp
Recommended Ages are 8 year olds through High School.
This is a camp for students who wish to improve tournament play especially at the state tournaments at Peoria and Bloomington. This is a camp for serious competitive scholastic players, and its rigor should improve each participant’s ability to prepare for serious competitive matches. Just remember that there is no crying in chess!
When: Monday - Friday July 10th through July 21st
Cost: $200
Location: The Arquilla Park Field House 225 N Park Dr. Glenwood, Il 60525
Chess Activities will include:
A. Time for Casual Play
B. Daily Master Game Study with Competitive Student Scores
C. Daily Endgame Challenges
D. Daily Tactic Challenges with student presentations
E. Daily Tournament matches
Participants’ attendance and performance will be recorded scored, tallied and analyzed.
Trophies will be awarded to the top participants of the tournament games.
End of camp Awards will be presented.
Light Snacks will be offered and students will bring a bag lunch.
