YCFC/CCF Brooks Scholastic Chess Tournament, non-rated

Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy High School, 250 E. 111th Street (11100 S), at Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago.  Co-sponsored by the Youth Chess Foundation of Chicago (YCFC) and Chicago Chess Foundation (CCF).  Non-rated 5SS in 5 sections, open to K-8.  Schedule: Check-in 8:30 – 9:30, Tournament 10:00 – 3:15, Trophy Presentation 3:30 (est.).  Sections: Novice K-2, Novice 3-4, Novice 5-6, Novice 7-8, Advanced.  Advanced section G/20 increment 5 when clocks available.  Notation required in Advanced section only.  Awards: Novice sections:  Trophies to top 7 individuals, top 2 teams.  Advanced section: Trophies to top 6 individuals, top 2 teams.  Team score determined by top four scores in novice sections, top three scores in advanced.  Entry Fee:  Free for all.  Entries: YCFC uses a roster system for tournament entries.  All players on submitted rosters are eligible to play in any YCFC tournament during the scholastic year.  Submit rosters, including name, grade, school and section entered to This email address is being protected from spambots.
