Playing with the Black pieces Expert (soon to be Master no doubt) Eric Rosen drew in seventy-one moves against GM Jesse Kraai who out rated Eric by some 350+ points.

Eric now has 2.5/3 in the 6 day schedule of the US Open. I have no doubt that Eric will be a Master after this event so congrats to him.

In other US Open news GM Dmitry Gurevich has 3/3 and FM Andrew Karklins has 2.5/3 both in the six day schedule.

Trevor Magness another Illinois star player scored 4/6 in the final of the Denker Tournament of Champions to place joint 5th in a field of 48 players. Trevor scored three wins, two draws both with Masters and one loss to a Master from New York. Truly a very solid performance in such a strong field. Trevor is also playing in the six day schedule of the US Open where he has 2/3 losing to IM Salvijus Bercys.

In the Traditional schedule Laurence Cohen and James Egerton have 2/5. The Four day schedule has yet to start.
