Sponsored by the DeKalb Chess Club as affiliated with the US Chess Federation (USChess.org) and Illinois Chess Association (IL-Chess.org).
- Open: 3 rounds, Game/70, d/5; $100 guaranteed*; 9:30- 6:00
- Reserve: 4 rounds, Game/50, d5; $75 guaranteed*; 9:40 – 6:00
- Booster: 5 rounds, Game/30, d5; $ 50 + trophy*; 9:40 – 5:30
- Nonrated: 5 rounds, Game/30, d5; TBD; 9:50 – 5:40

$20 at door, $5 discount for second and additional family member

On-site Registration: 8:30am-9:15 am; advance registration encouraged
Prize Fund and Sections: * Due to sponsorship there is a high likelihood of additional cash prizes. In accordance with this advance notice, TD reserves the right to combine or delete sections on day of tournament.

Lunch: refrigerator and microwave available onsite for registrants, delivery menus also available from nearby restaurants. Pizza: $5 for two slices and a can of pop. Should place order at on-site registration.

Registration limited to 64 across all sections – first come, first served.
As an exposure to US Chess (USCF) competition – and a warm up for IHSA and scholastic competitions, we will also be hosting a non-ratedsection at this event where participants NEED NOT be current USCF members. Entry fee is only $5. Subject to cancellation which will be posted on dekalbchess.com by Thursday, Sept. 8. Please register by Tuesday Sept 6. Team awards possible with 3+ on squad.
