2017 ICA Tour Coordinator Bill Buklis has updated the Tour standings giving downstaters Pete Kariagianis and Jason Daniels the lead in the Open Section -- both with 13.0 tallies after the Chicago Open.

Six more events remain on the Tour docket -- with the 7th Orwell Memorial coming up June 24 in DeKalb, followed by the Chicago Class in July.

In order to be eligible for prizes, participants must have ICA memberships by the half-way point -- and must maintain their memberships throughout the remainder of the season.

Kevin Ho is only a half-point back with 12.5 points. Both Karagianis and Ho participated in both the Bradley Winter Open and the Greater Peoria Open.

30 players are listed in the "Reserve Adult" lead by Philip McCully who has posted 13.0 points.

Ho and McCully are the only two players having participated in all four Tour events so far this year.

Hiro Higuchi has posted 12.5 points from just two events, earning 7.0 from just the Chicago Open alone.

Slav Borkowski and Rick Lutzke are tied for third place with 10.5's in the Reserve.

Kevin Ho has an amazing 18.0 points counting towards his Scholastic Reserve tally which currently includes 40 eligible players.

Shreyas Reddy and Jason Daniels both have 13.0 point scores, while Dimitar Mardov and Benjamin Chen both have 10.0 points.

Complete standings are posted here.

Remember: ICA members receive discounts to most Tour events. In fact, discounts to the Chicago Open, Chicago Class and Midwest Class pays for an Adult membership and more than offsets the cost of a Scholastic membership!

In addition such membership supports the ICA calendar, the ICA website, and helps support programs including the Warren Junior Scholars, the Rising Stars, and efforts to expand chess competition and access throughout the entire state.
