There has been some movement in the Top 100 Lists for Illinois girls this month. Some female players dropped below the cutoff temporarily (Chaitra, Ankaa, Oyumaa), moved up to the next age bracket (Himani, Catherine, Layla, Miranda), cracked the top 100 for the first time (Niyathi) or simply aged out (Bethany).
But Illinois now has two girls who rank in 4th place in the country for their age: WCM Natalie Wisniowski (12th last month) with an admirable rating of 1851; and Shreya Mangalam, who went from 2118 to 2137. Both young ladies had scored outstanding results at the Chicago Class. Congratulations!
In addition, there was much improvement in the 'Age 8' section where Nandini Prakash, Saruul Uuganbayar and Joyce Zheng managed triple-digit rating increases. Nandini is currently no. 6 in the country with a new high of almost 1500.
We are also proud of of the performance of Siri Chennareddy and Himani Musku, who are firmly in 1100 territory now.
