Sections:

    Open Section: 1600+, 1400+ can play up for $20

    U1600 Section: 1599-1000, 800+ can play up for $20

    We recommend players under 1000 play in the Beginner's Open running on the same day

Location: 47 West Polk, Chicago, IL 60605

Format:

    Open: Three Games, 60+30

    U1600: Four Games, 45+15

Schedule:

    Open: Round 1 at 9:30 AM, Round 2 at 1pm*, Round 3 at 4:30pm* (* or 30 minutes after the last game ends, whichever is later)

    U1600: Round 1 at 9:30 AM, Round 2 at 12:30pm, Rounds 3-4 immediately after

Registration: $25 online by 1 week before; $35 after that

Prizes:

    Open Section: Trophies and free entry in a future event for first, second, and U2000

    U1600 Section: Trophies and free entry in a future event for first, second, and U1200

Registration closes 15 minutes before the first round. Any players not registered before then will receive a round 1 bye.

Medals: All children who score higher than 50% will receive a medal

Titled Players: Titles receive automatic free entry.

Transportation: We are right next to the Harrison Red Line, Lasalle Blue Line, and Harold Washington Library Loop stop. Additionally we are 1 mile from Union Station and 1.3 miles from Ogilvie. Paid parking is available behind Dearborn Station, but there is also street parking, lots, and garages nearby.
